Habitat
The live in wetlands, marshland, lagoons, swamps,
reservoirs, cliffs, reed beds, crumps and paddy-fields. They
make their nests in eucalyptus trees, black poplars,
holm-oaks, or willows. They breed in the estuary Delta del
Ebro, the lagoon Albufera de Valencia, the National Park of
Doñana and in Extremadura.
They can be seen in the same sleeping quarters in lagoons,
ponds, and pools.
They are included in the National List of Endangered
Species. They fly in solitary as well as in flocks.
