Habitat
They live on the edge of woods, parks, gardens, orchards, vegetable
gardens, the curbs and ditches in pathways and roads. They can also be
seen in the vicinity of lagoons and riverbanks where they go looking for
food, such as grains and berries, and to drink.
They are sedentary and they nest in trees and bushes. They are caught
in order to be used in bird-singing competitions.
