Maximum size: 2 metres wingspan.
Habitat
They live in wetlands, lagoon banks, salty or fresh-water
dams surrounded by forest with nesting trees which they also
serve them for shelter. They can also use cane fields near
the banks.
They can live for 20 years, weigh 2 kilos
and reach 90 cm height. They can lay between 3 and 5 eggs
between March and April. They are omnivore and their main
predators are birds of prey.
